Well, what do you know? My powers of necrogeekery are clearly better than I thought. After performing certain unspeakeable and esoteric rites last night i.e. I slapped it around a bit, it seems Dagon, my PDA, has risen from the grave - it was doing it intermittently but failing to power on again reliably but has survived all day today. It is indeed vooming and I didn't even have to put 10,000 Volts through it! Probably shouldn't count on it living much longer so I guess I shall be continuing to scout out possible replacements...

Also pretty handy, using the phone as a MP3 player, especially as it has an offline mode - switches off telecoms functions for use on Tube and plane (even the BA cabin staff mentioned offline modes in their usual takeoff briefings!). Handover to the 6680 is going pretty well so far, just trying to figure out how/if I can transfer my archived SMS messages from the 6600. There's too many little gems on there to simply erase. Need to do it soon though. David is openly coveting it...
