"It seemed like a good idea at the time..."

Same thing as every year for the last few years. Someone, invariably one of the airsoft skirmishing crowd, suggests going to the Great British Beer Festival. In this case, I received the summons by SMS this morning. So, the evening was spent at Olympia, wandering semi-randomly about the hall sampling random beers, generally selected by their distinctive names and % alcohol by volume i.e. The Dark Stranger, Storm Damage, The Red McGregor, Pendle Witch's Brew etc and then staggering home just in time before one's bladder gives up! Ah well, it was fun at the time. Hope the spelling and grammar aren't too appalling...
