Kunststoffe: German WWII Plastics & Their Markings by: W Darrin Weaver

"This book is the first comprehensive and easy to use reference since World War II covering prominent German wartime plastics manufacturers and products. Aimed squarely at World War II German militaria, ordnance, and small arms collectors, the author provides a concise account of the constituents and manufacturing processes, markings, codes, trademarks and material identification techniques of wartime Kunststoff products.

Over 150 color/bw images"

According to the ToC on the website, there's a chapter on "Allied Appraisal of the Wartime German Plastic Industry"

What do we think? Does this beat Jaunty Tilt and A Guide to 3rd Reich Cutlery, its Monograms, Logos, & Maker Marks?

As it covers German military ordinance and small arms this directly relates to the actual conflict whereas the cutlery does not which I feel make it more mainstream. So I'd say A Guide to 3rd Reich Cutlery, its Monograms, Logos, & Maker Marks is still the more specialist.

:-) OK, fair point, but how does 3rd Reich Cutlery compare with Tiger Patterns, which I recall you voted for in the original poll?

Good question. Hmm, Tiger Patterns related to their uniforms so I reckon 3rd Reich Cutlery is still the champ. You found a strong contender in the form of 3rd Reich Cutlery, think it will take a special book to de-throne it.
