So that's it for England in the World Cup then. This was the first time in a while that I'd taken more than a casual interest in England's progress and it has certainly been an emotional rollercoaster, especially today - brief moments of hope, bitter disappointments, anguish, embarassment, a nagging feeling that the whole is less than the sum of its parts and that things could have been so much better.
Guess that's what it must have felt like to be a Stargate Atlantis fan...
