Popped up to Airsoft Armoury yesterday to drop off a couple of leaky pistol mags and to pick up Simon's SA-80. Noticed that they had a calendar, produced by their Midlands branch which just happens to be next door to a modelling agency. Yep, 12 photos of scantily dressed women with guns. Heh. Looking forward to 2007...

Saw M*********** Snakes On A M************ Plane last night with Liz. Unashamedly dumb and silly, goes for every shock cliche in the book but rather funny for all that. Samuel L Jackson is always good value. One mildly worrying thing: Liz said she'd been waiting for me to get back from Manila to see this because she figured I was the only person she knew who'd appreciate a film like this!

Also watched The Battle Of Britain this afternoon. OMG. Stirring stuff. The Spitfire remains a true thing of beauty!

The N80, now named Grendel, now seems to be fully set up and operational. Even got SMSs from main memory of the 6680 transferred to the memory card. Alas, still not figured how to merge SMS databases but at least the PC suite now permits backup of SMS to PC so my all-time favourite is preserved for posterity:

On board the starship "fiasco" commanded by captain faff in geostationary orbit around the planet fuckwit over wokingham. unlikely to achieve escape velocity for another hour

The Battle of Britain is STILL a cool film !
Especially concidering the uniform I`m converting.

I saw a spitfire on approach to the local airfield the other day & the sight & sound of the merlin engin still gives me a thrill !
